This exfoliating soap bag is hand made by indigenous tribes in Laos where the women gather vines from the forests around their villages, strip the pulp from the fibers, spin them by hand and tie them into these exfoliating soap bags. Each piece can take up to two weeks to complete.

The vines they use grow without cultivation, irrigation, or chemicals. It improves the soil where it grows and purifies the air, making it beneficial to the planet at large. Making these possibly the most eco-friendly soap bags around.

The knowledge and skill used in the craftsmanship rest exclusively with these isolated communities and has been passed down for generations.

The women who make these work from their homes while nurturing their children. Making these helps preserve the traditional social interactions within the villages, and selling them helps the women support their families and communities.
